- 【星野富弘プロフィール】
- 1946年、群馬県に生まれる。
- 1970年、群馬大学教育学部卒業。
中学校の体育教師になるが、頚髄を損傷し、手足の自由を失う。 - 1972年〜入院中に生かされている感謝と喜びを、詩や絵に描き始め、
その作品展が開催され、大きな反響を呼び、全国に広がる。- 1991年、故郷の勢多郡東村(現 みどり市東町)に富弘美術館開館。
- 2005年、新・富弘美術館オープン。
- 2006年、熊本市に芦北町立星野富弘美術館開館。
群馬県名誉県民の称号を贈られる。- 2010年、富弘美術館の入館者が600万人を超える。
- 現在も詩画や随筆の創作を続け、国内外で｢花の詩画展｣が開かれている
